Ungulate Population Distributions Across the Hawaiian Islands
Ungulates were introduced to the Hawaiian Islands at various times by Polynesian voyagers, European explorers, and American settlers. Their introduction across the islands occurred over centuries and was often driven by agricultural, economic, or cultural purposes.
